Interior designer Silvia Ciferri has recently shared photos of her latest bathroom renovation project on a flat in Glasgow. Silvia has achieved a major transformational look using Multipanel bathroom wall panels, while saving her client time and money.
Modern with a Victorian twist
Silvia commented that “The flat needed to be put on the market and the client wanted it to stand out from other properties. The original bathroom was in quite a poor condition with considerable amounts of mould on the ceiling, old and dated tiles and discoloured grout.”
Silvia added, “The client was in a hurry to sell the property. I have used Multipanel on many occasions before and have been very happy using it. I wanted the bathroom to look modern, whilst having a Victorian twist. The Heritage collection (discontinued) of bathroom wall panels with their muted tones from Multipanel looked ideal.”
"I also ensured my installer used Multipanel Hydrolock tongue and groove wall panels over the bath, as I think it looks much better with a near invisible Hydrolock tongue and groove joining system than using a piece of trim to join the panels together. I like continuity, and the walls look better with a more discrete join.
The whole installation process was easy. We also used Multipanel wall panels for the bath panel. The original bath panel was damaged when it was cut to size, so we used a piece of Multipanel wall panel instead and it works really well with the overall design.”
Multipanel Click vinyl flooring in Classic Oak (discontinued) was used to create a watertight and slip-resistant finish. Multipanel PVC ceiling panels (discontinued) will also prevent mould reoccurring.
No more mould
Silvia’s installer Steven Merry of SMJ Trades commented, “One of the biggest issues in this bathroom was the amount of mould on the ceiling. We wanted to avoid the possibility of it coming back. I had used Multipanel ceiling panels in the past and recommended these to Silvia. The PVC ceiling panels are easy to install with their tongue and groove edges. The ceiling panels are simple to wipe clean and there will no longer be any issues with mould.”
This project was so well received that the flat was under offer within ten days of being placed for sale and the new owners are delighted with their new bathroom in which they can relax and enjoy for years to come.
A transformed bathroom
Silvia was so impressed with Multipanel products that she decided to use them in her own home. Silvia was looking to revamp a number of rooms including two bathrooms and a kitchen and felt that Multipanel would give her an aesthetically pleasing, practical and durable solution. Silvia decided it was time to renovate her flat in order to reflect her own personal styles and taste. Silvia has a love for bright, vibrant colours and felt that Multipanel was able to cater to this need.
Silvia commented, “I have used the wetwall, wall panel and tiles in few projects with an amazing result. The wooden floor tiles can really mistaken for real wood. Beautiful good quality products and easy to work with; my builder has never complained about installing them which makes me think they are easier to work with than others are. I will use Multipanel again in the future.”
Silva’s transformation displays the epitome of a ‘tired to inspired’ interior facelift. The results are nothing short of stunning.
