For this year's Earth Day, Multipanel's head office encouraged office and factory staff to use public transport for their daily commute. The initiative aimed to raise awareness of air pollution while encouraging familiarisation with the newly improved Edinburgh public transport system.
Any bus, tram or train fares purchased between 21–28 April were then matched by Grant Westfield and a donation was made to the Water of Leith Conservation Trust in order to support local charities and their efforts.
The Trust aims to conserve and enhance the Water of Leith and its flora and fauna, as well as preserve its heritage. The Trust delivers around 300 river cleaning tasks each year, ensuring the river's conservation.
