Once, twice, three times Multipanel

When it came to deciding on how to renovate three bathrooms in her Aberdeen home, aesthetics, speed of installation, cost and ease of cleaning were front of mind for Helen Baloshi.

The bathrooms in the detached property that she and her husband purchased needed serious attention - the tiles were dated and the grout was pink and black in places.  “A complete overhaul was required,” said Helen, “and I wanted to go for a fresh modern look that wouldn’t date.”

Having decided to go for marble in all three bathrooms, Helen opted for Calacatta Marble bathroom wall panels from Multipanel’s Linda Barker Collection.

“The panels are beautiful and because they have a certain timeless quality, I knew I wouldn’t tire of them,” she said.

Initially, Helen was tempted to mix things up a little by having different Multipanel walls in each of the three bathrooms.

However, she said, “I wanted to keep a theme going throughout my house and it was more cost effective to use the same boards in all three rooms. This was because we were able to use left-over panel for above all sink areas and a small piece above our unit in the cloakroom bathroom.”

Helen is often busy with an active toddler, helping to run her husband’s business, working part-time and studying, so she is a big fan of her new bathroom panels.  

“They are super easy to keep clean. With just a quick spray and wipe, the job is done. And there are no issues of discoloured grout like we had with the tiles.”

Installation

Helen agrees that Multipanel was cost-effective and easy to fit. “Using Multipanel meant we didn't have to arrange a tiler as our joiner was able to fit the panels whilst fitting our three bathrooms. Installation was really quick. I was at work while the work was done, but the bathroom panels were up and the showers fitted by the time I came home.

“I was very impressed with the quality and finish. We went for the seamless look as I didn't want a chrome join in the middle of the wall – the panels came with Hydrolock which provides a near invisible joint - it's very subtle and looks fab.
